Restaurant La Pergola by Heinz Beck

Here I am, back again at Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria. I have been doing all the most important photoshoot at this marvellous hotel for the last 10 years and it really feels like home now.
The main subject of this session is the revamp of the famous three michelin starred restaurant “la pergola” completely redone in an exquisite design by Juoin Manku studio.
As very often happens I have been asked to shoot both Architecture Interiors and lifestyle.
For the architectural part I have used my cambo WRS paired with my phase one Iq3100, using the light design of the restaurant and a bit of natural light. The different color temperature has been balaced in post. For the portrait of Chef Heinz Beck I have used my nikon d850 and a profoto b1 with a single big profoto umbrella giving a bit of “Caravaggio” mood to the portrait.
All the lifestyle photoshoot has been shot with my nikons and my profoto b1’s in different set ups.In this photoshoot I was assisted by Marco Angius, styling by Sara Lecci, Make up by Micol Bartolucci.
